Sometimes we think that how nice it would be if we can disable copy option in windows. There are some people who loves to break others privacy & obviously it's so annoying.But we can't get rid of them sometimes because they are most times our relatives or friends. So there is a question is there any way that nobody will be able to copy or cut any file from my computer. The answer is Yeah.And if you think that if copy option is disabled then how con I copy any file when I require! I will say be tension free because this will only disable copying to other external pendrive, floppy disk or portable hard disk but you can copy any file to your computer from these & perform all internal copy/cut operation! And if you wish you can active your copy option again .Finally the whole process is without any software.
Follow this process :
01. Go to start menu & type regedit in the search box and press enter. Now registry editor window will appear.
02. Navigate to the following path:
Notice it carefully:
(a) If the registry key StorageDevicePolicies does not exist, you will need to create it manually. Right Click on Control & Create a New key named as StorageDevicePolicies
(b) Right Click on StorageDevicePolicies and then create a New DWORD (32-bit) named as WriteProtect
(c) Double click the key WriteProtect and set the value from 0 to a in the Value Box and press OK button
(d) Log Off or Restart your computer and try copying files into your USB drives or Pendrive. A window containing message Can't Copy Will appear!
