How to Add Post Thumbnails or featured Image in Blogger

Featured image which is known as thumbnail is very essential to make blog attractive. Every successful blogger uses thumbnails in blog post. Many website has a default platform for using thumbnails like themeforest. Many website like Blogger takes first image from post as thumbnail. Now here we will see how to give a customise thumbnail image in Bloggr post as you wish.

Before getting started with the tutorial, I would recommend you to setup automatic post summery script for blogger in ordar that you can easily setup a feature image which I have discussed below:

Now go to Blogger >> New Posts >> and click "Upload Image" . Now upload a desired image.

After uploading the image, select “Edit HTML” tab from the top left corner and copy the URL of the image which should appear like the image below:

We want to show thumnails in post summery or in archieve (specially in smartphone where thumbnails are shown beside posts). But we don't want to show the same image when viewer view it. To make it possible, Copy the image link that you want to show as thumbnail image then replace the image here with the link. Now paste the following piece of coding at the very top of the “Blogger post Editor” through “Edit HTML” tab.
